“Schupfnudeln” with delicious pepper, chilli and cheese sauce

For the fried onions

  1. Peel the onions and cut into slices using a slicer.
  2. Sprinkle the onions rings with flour and pepper and mix lightly.
  3. Heat the oil to 160°C and gradually fry the onions until they are golden brown.
  4. Dab the golden brown onions rings with a cloth and add a bit of salt.

For the Schupfnudeln

  1. Remove the film from the GOLDSTEIG Pepper and Chilli Hot Cheese Pot and warm it up in a fan oven preheated to 140°C for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes stir the cheese well and let it melt for another 10 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, peel the onions and cut them into small cubes
  3. Fry the Schupfnudeln with the onions with a bit of oil in a pan until they are golden brown. Add the GOLDSTEIG Butter and fry for a bit longer. Deglaze them with the vegetable stock.
  4. Pour the GOLDSTEIG Pepper and Chilli Hot Cheese Pot over the Schupfnudeln and toss them in the pan. Arrange the Schupfnudeln and garnish with the golden brown onions.


For 4 people:

For the fried onions:

  • 200 ml sunflower oil
  • 2 onions
  • 30 g flour
  • 2 tablespoons
  • sweet paprika
  • A bit of salt
