All the cheeses made by us are suitable for lacto-ovo-vegetarians and lacto-vegetarians due to the exclusive use of microbial rennet (no animal rennet). All the cheeses have been certified by ProVeg e.V. and are therefore allowed to carry the V-Label (quality seal for vegetarian products).

We voluntarily state the lactose content of our GOLDSTEIG products on our cheese specialities’ packaging to provide better guidance for people with lactose intolerance.

The amount of lactose that actually causes discomfort varies greatly from individual to individual. Only very few people affected have to completely do without any dairy products that contain lactose.
